Registration and Account
This section helps you download Tatmeen, create an account, and manage your information and notifications. It also explains how to arrange care for a child or family member.
The Tatmeen app is available free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android devices. Open your device’s store, search for Tatmeen by its English or Arabic name, then download and open the app. You can also reach both store links through tatmeen.sa.
Use a recent version of iOS or Android, and make sure you have enough storage space and a good internet connection. There is no fee to download the app or create an account; you pay only when booking a paid service.
Registration takes about two minutes and uses your mobile number. Open the app and tap “Create Account,” enter a Saudi number beginning with 05, accept the terms and Privacy Policy, and request a verification code. Enter the code you receive, then complete the basic information and begin browsing.
Your mobile number identifies the account, so you do not need an email address or password, and each number can have one account. You can complete the health profile before your first session. If you are arranging care for a child or family member, create a separate account for them as explained below.
Check that the mobile number is correct, the signal is strong, and the device can receive messages, then wait one minute before requesting another code. On the verification screen, you can choose to receive it through WhatsApp or tap “Resend Code” after 60 seconds.
Check blocked or unknown messages, and temporarily disable airplane mode and message-blocking apps. If the problem continues, open support chat from tatmeen.sa or the login screen and provide the mobile number and network operator. Never share the code with anyone; support will not ask for it.
You can browse as a guest, but you need an account to have a consultation. Guest mode lets you view care providers and their profiles, clinics, topics, and educational content before deciding.
An account is required to book and pay, use the wallet, communicate with a provider, complete the health profile and assessments, receive reports, prescriptions, and homework, and save providers to favorites. Registration connects the session to the correct person, preserves their record, and provides secure communication and payment channels.
The profile includes your legal name or alias, age or date of birth, gender, nationality, occupation, marital status, and education level. You can optionally add a photo and city. National ID verification is optional for Saudi citizens and is connected to billing and the tax exemption.
The provider sees your display name, age, gender, marital status, and education level. They do not see your mobile number, National ID, or payment information. You can complete the information gradually in “My Account,” but accurate basic details help the provider deliver appropriate care.
The health profile brings together the information the provider needs to understand your situation: your current concern, when symptoms began, previous diagnoses and treatment, chronic conditions, medication and dosages, allergies, relevant procedures, family and social history, current stressors, and risk indicators.
It saves time during the session, helps prevent medication errors, and puts symptoms in context. Update it whenever your condition or medication changes, and write “I don’t know” rather than guessing. A complete profile is required for mental health and medical consultations, while brief information may be enough for some short consultations.
Yes. You can choose an alias when registering or later, and the provider will see it instead of your legal name and mobile number. They will still see your age, gender, marital status, education level, health profile, and the assessments you share.
The provider does not see your National ID or payment details. If you need an official report in your legal name, you can provide it when requesting the report. Billing and identity information remain separate from the name you use in sessions, so you can verify your identity for billing while continuing to use an alias in care.
The provider sees the legal name or alias you selected, your age, gender, marital status and education, and your nationality and occupation if you entered them. They also see your medical and psychological profile, medication and allergies, assessments and homework, and previous reports and prescriptions that you authorized for continuity of care.
They do not see your mobile number, National ID, payment information, or social media accounts. Appointment content is accessible only to you and the provider; Tatmeen staff do not record or view it. You can download a report and share it yourself with another provider or an outside organization whenever you choose.
It is an optional verification process for Saudi citizens who want to receive the tax exemption on consultation invoices. In “My Account,” select “National ID Verification,” enter the ten-digit ID number, and it will be verified through the Yakeen service.
Verification does not affect your access to care; you can use every service without it. The ID is stored in the billing system and is not visible to the provider. Once verification is complete, the exemption appears on eligible invoices. You can remove the ID later, in which case tax will apply to subsequent purchases.
The main benefit is the Saudi citizen VAT exemption on eligible consultations, packages, and services, with both the tax and exemption shown clearly on the invoice. You also receive an official tax invoice that can be used with an employer when needed.
Verification may simplify some refund procedures or services and reports connected to government entities, and offers may be available to verified users. It does not change what the provider sees, and you can continue using an alias; verification is for billing, not for displaying your identity during a session.
Every minor has a separate account that the guardian creates and manages. If the teenager has a mobile phone, use their number. If a child does not have one, assign a new or secondary line; you cannot use the guardian’s number if it is already linked to their own Tatmeen account.
Complete the child’s profile, use the age filter to choose a child or adolescent specialist, and book the session in the child’s name. The provider may use suitable tools such as the Birleson scale for depression, the Spence scale for anxiety, or ADHD assessments. The guardian attends with a young child and supervises a teenager while respecting privacy within safety limits, and provides consent and oversight for any medication.
Every adult has a separate account linked to their own mobile number; there are no shared accounts or proxy management within one account. You can help an older parent, partner, or relative register on your device, but use their number and obtain permission before logging in or attending a session. You can pay with your card during booking or send credit through the gifting feature.
Do not register an adult without their knowledge or view their chat or session without permission. A minor whose account is managed by a guardian is the exception. Someone who lacks legal capacity or needs ongoing legal account management may have to provide proof of authority or a power of attorney through support.
Open “My Account” or Settings, select “Language,” then choose English or Arabic. The app reloads in the new language without losing your data.
The interface, notifications, support messages, and educational content change language. You and the provider agree on the language used in the session, while older reports and messages remain in the language in which they were issued. To have a session in a particular language, use the language filter when searching and request the report language before it is issued.
There is no password. Enter your registered mobile number and request a new verification code to regain access to the account and its data. If you deleted the app, download it again and sign in the same way.
If you lost the number, it no longer receives messages, or you cannot remember which number you used, contact the official chat in the app or on tatmeen.sa. Support will ask for information to verify account ownership and guide you through recovery. Never share an OTP with anyone or use an unofficial recovery service.
There is no direct button in the app for changing the mobile number. Open support chat and request the change; the team will verify your identity and help transfer access if this is possible without losing data.
If a transfer is not possible, the alternative is to delete the account and create a new one with the new number. This means losing the previous history, reports, balance, and packages. Start with support, address any upcoming appointments, download important reports, and use or request a refund of the wallet balance before deleting anything.
Tatmeen sends booking confirmations, reminders one day and one hour before the appointment and when it begins, schedule changes, and the “Join Now” prompt. It also notifies you about provider messages, assessments, homework, reports, prescriptions, payments, compensation, and account security, and may send optional offers.
To manage them, open “My Account,” then “Notifications,” or use your iOS or Android notification settings for Tatmeen. Keep appointment reminders, provider messages, and security alerts enabled. You can turn off offers and educational-content updates.
From the home screen, open the menu, choose “Your Profile,” scroll down, select “Delete Account,” and confirm. Deletion removes the account and most of the data available to you and cancels upcoming appointments. Invoices and medical records that must be retained for accounting or healthcare-practice requirements may remain.
Before deleting, download the reports and prescriptions you need, address open appointments, use the wallet balance or request a refund, and use any remaining packages where possible. You can register again afterward, but you will start with a new account and profile, and data from the deleted account will not return automatically.
